It’s true. If your gramps or any of your elderly relatives were fitted with a pacemaker at some stage, he technically makes them a cyborg. What is a cyborg after all, apart from a combination of man and machine? Yes, the intelligence of a pacemaker was rudimentary, at best, but it was a machine. Inside the human body. Now go figure.

But AI has been around for a lot longer than you think

As a former musician who spent decades in recording studios doing take after retake of the same piece. I can handle hard say that some of the technology that we now call artificial intelligence has been around for way longer than you can imagine.

Take a look at this setup of a vintage recording studio and tell me that it does not involve artificial intelligence of some form. There are just so many parameters to fiddle with that you need some kind of intelligent automation to deal with it all.
